Q: Can I use 100% biodiesel in my vehicle/truck/generaator
A: No, biodiesel is typically blended with traditional pertoluem diesel for use in an interenal combustion engine. In general a B20 (20% biodiesel / 80% petroleum diesel) blend works in all applications. Please consult your user manual or the OEM for the exact blending ratios that your vehicle/equipment can run.
Q: How much does it cost?
A: Biodiesel is a more cost effective alternitive to petroleum diesel.
To determine acurate pricing, please provide the following information:
1) What is the application(s) of the biodiesel?
2) How many litre do you require per transaction?
3) Do you require delivery or will you be collecting from our premises?
4) If delivery, please provide the exact address for delivery in order for us to work out transportation costs.
Q: Does Zen Oil sell to the public?
A: Yes. Anyone may purchase from us.
Q: Do I need to make any conversions on my vehicles to run biodiesel?
A: When using a B20 blend or less, no modifications are needed. It is best to speak to a mechanic or the OEM to establish what a safe ratio would be. The OEMs are the experts on their products and shall advise on proper blending ratios.
Q: Is biodiesel the same quality as petroleum diesel?
A: Biodiesel is a superior product when compare to petroleum diesel due to several factors:
- Higher density - more mass per unit volume means less fuel is needed to operate the engine
- Higher viscosity - correct viscosity is crutial to ensure proper atomisation of fuel thrugh the injectors. Under or over fueling issues means higher consumption and more strain on the engine parts.
